Taylor Ewert, an incoming junior at Beavercreek OH, repeated as women's 5-kilometer champion at the 30th annual USA vs. Canada Junior Race Walk Match at Hanlan's Point on Toronto Island in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ewert eclipsed the American Junior 5-kilometer road race walk record by clocking 23:07.07, breaking the 2005 standard of 23:44 set by Maria Michta-Coffey. Ewert also achieved American Junior race walk records on the track this season in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters.
